Do all countries describe the qualifications in a similar way?
On September 9, 2016 a seminar was held in the Educational Research Institute, during which Polish and foreign experts discussed the comparability of qualifications in different countries. The Integrated System of Qualifications project experts participating in the meeting presented Polish findings resulting from the ongoing work on the development of qualifications and describing methods for determining the level of qualifications. 
The seminar was attended by the representatives of the working group for qualifications comparison, established by the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Advisory Group. The group's responsibility is to verify whether comparable qualifications in different countries have been assigned the same level of qualifications framework. The pilot work involved six countries: Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Poland and Sweden. Poland has taken a leadership role in this project. The work is based on the comparison of learning outcomes and other elements of the description of two qualifications: CNC operator (levels 3 and 4) and mechanical engineer (levels 6 and 7), which has already been described in the countries participating in the project.
Methods used for determining qualifications level are compared too which, in this form, has not been previously done. During the seminar, the experts from Norway, Denmark, Latvia, Hungary and Poland presented the current outcomes of the project, in particular the first results of the comparative analysis. The discussion focused on the inclusion of other countries in the pilot project.
